ABOUT

MY PRACTICE
I am a visual artist and educator based in Östersund, Sweden. My artistic practice moves between photography, painting and collage, exploring memory, place and the ways in which our experiences shape how we see and understand the world.
Working with images as traces of people, places and moments, I combine personal memories with historical references and visual fragments to create new narratives and imagined spaces. My work often begins with an image, an encounter or a recollection that gradually evolves into something less defined, where different times, places and perspectives intersect.
Alongside my independent artistic practice, I have a background in visual arts, media communication, history and pedagogy. For many years, I have worked with photography, image-making and creative processes in education, as well as developing collaborative art projects with young people and cultural organisations.
My work has been exhibited at venues in Sweden. My collaborative projects include live painting and public art initiatives in Östersund, Jämtland. I work side by side with collaborating artist Charlotta Söderbom on these prodjects.
Through both my artistic practice and collaborative work, I am interested in how images can open up new ways of seeing, remembering and connecting with one another. I continue to explore the relationship between personal experience and collective memory, allowing photography, painting and collage to meet and create new visual worlds.
